Based in London, England, Althea Ifeka performs concertos and presents innovative recitals for oboe, oboe d'amore and cor anglais with either piano or harpsichord accompaniment. Winner of Third Prize in the 2007 Paris-Ville d'Avray International Oboe Competition, she is a Cambridge University graduate and former Fulbright Scholar who enjoys using her academic skills to develop adventurous concert programmes. Since 1994, Althea has performed extensively as a soloist in the UK and Ireland. Her début CD – From Leipzig to London – was released on the Oboe Classics label in 2006.
